Preliminary investigation reveals that the incident was not a cylinder blast, as it was speculated earlier. The Delhi Police too dismissed the report and said ‘it was not a cylinder blast’.
The blast took place in Naya Bazaar area of Chandi Chowk.
Explosive materials used in making firecrackers has been found at the site of explosion in the area.
According to locals, a man was seen carrying a jute bag at the site when the blast took place.
